What is raster file or raster graphic

What is raster?

A raster image is a dot matrics structure that represents a generally rectangular grid of pixels.

It uses bit map to store its given information and so it is also called bitmap. It means that if the file or unformation is large than the bitmap will be large and if the information is short than the bitmap will be also short.

Raster graphic is a compose of pixels. In a raster graphic we can draw mathematical terms of end point. A raster graphic is lesa costly than the other formate such as Vectir formate.

There are some device which use raster formate to work properly. Such as printer is a raster device. If we need to print somethung than we have to convert those images into raster image.

1.BMP :(Windows bitmap)

BMP is the short form of bitmap. It is a file formate which gather information in pixels.

2.TIFF(Tagged image file format)

TIFF file is a formate which is used to save high graphic images.

People use TIFF file formate to save scanning photos, faxing word processing etc. Especially it is loved by graphic artists. Its file name extention is (.tiff and . tif)

3.JPEG(Joint photographic experts group)

JPG is the short form of JPEG image file. JPEG image file is normally used to save compress file and data.

JPEG image is allowed to see or use in mobile phone. The pictures we see on our phon screen or phon are normally used as JPEG image format. This file cab be sotored in minimum storage space. Its file name extention is (.jpg)
